CLUBS- November 3rd

Clubs: McKenzie Clark and Natalie Avery

Last week, ECCHS clubs were hard at work! FCCLA and Skills Club USA both traveled outside of the school last week to Atlanta, Georgia. The 4-H Shotgun team started their season, and Friends Helping Friends and One Act were busy during the weekend hosting different events.

One Act hosted a fundraiser on Sunday, October 22nd at the ECMS Auditorium. The fundraiser, their one-act play, was a showcase for their upcoming competition this Saturday, October 28th. “The fundraiser gives the students a chance to get used to a crowd before the actual show” Tracy Brown stated.

Friends Helping Friends hosted a fall festival on Saturday October 21st at the Rock Branch Baptist Church. They had a barbecue lunch, corn hole tournament, fire trucks, and more fun and games.

FCCLA officers visited the Fall Leadership Conference in Covington, GA. The officers participated in the “Statesmen Test,” which tested their knowledge of FCCLA history. Aleigh Robertson, the club’s event coordinator, won the statesman award and won a pin to place on her letterman jacket.

The 4-H Shotgun Team had their first practice Sunday October 22nd at the Elbert County Gun Club. Stay tuned for more information about their upcoming season!

This upcoming week, the Beta Club will be holding their induction ceremony for new inductees, and the Key Club will be getting into seasonal spirit by hosting a Halloween party. Here at the Blue Print, we hope you look forward to more club news next week!
