On Thursday, August 17th, students eligible to participate in the National Honor Society (NHS) were announced. Approximately 174 names of students were called. To be in NHS, a student must show outstanding characteristics in leadership, service, character, and scholarship. To be accepted, students had to give three recommendation forms to three teachers, coaches, pastors, or someone else on this list of approved recommenders. Members must have obtained an average of 90 at the time of eligibility and must maintain this average throughout the school year and at each eligibility checkpoint. Members will be selected Thursday, August 24th and will be notified no later than August 30th. Daniele Franklin is this year’s NHS advisor. The Blue Print wishes good luck to all those who have completed the application process and hopes to see our National Honor Society continue to grow.
