Blue Devil Football- Madison County

Blue Devil Football: Chloey Davis

Last Friday, September 1st, the Blue Devils faced off Madison County in Danielsville, Georgia. Despite a few setbacks, our Devils persevered and beat Madison County 42 to 20. Although some of our players were unable to play due to injuries, the team didn’t let that stop them.

Because of injuries received in previous games, Jasquiz Rucker and Anthony Eberhardt were not able to play in the game. Shun Allen played in Jasquiz’s place as running back, and Nate Lavender played OLB for Anthony Eberhardt. Another player who was injured is Jaquavious Ramsey. During the third quarter, he was in on a tackle and several players landed on top of him, breaking his clavicle. According to Nate Lavender, Coach Fritts gave the boys motivation “by encouraging them to promise to each other that they will have each others backs and won’t quit no matter what happens during the game.”

Despite the changes in positions, they overcame the obstacles, and were able to beat the Madison County Raiders. This week is an open week so there will be no football game on Friday. Come out and support our Devils at the next game on September 15th at Franklin County High School.
