Mayor Otis Johnson

Otis Samuel Johnson is a politician from Georgia who was elected Mayor of Savannah between 2004 until 2012 and the member of the Democratic Party. During his younger years he graduated from A.E. Beach High School later went to Armstrong University and The University of Georgia. He later went to get his Masters Degree in Social Work from Clark University and then received his Ph D from Heller University. He also served in the US Naval Reserve. From there he worked for the Economic Opportunity Authority, Model Cities Program, and Savannah State University. From 1983 until 1988, he served as the City Council Representative from the second district of Savannah. He then moved on to be our Mayor of Savannah.
